As fall turns to winter, it’s important to know how to find expert information about seasonal flu and the H1N1 virus. The following sites contain extensive, current information about both kinds of flu, plus information about immunizations.

Here is a list of helpful Web sites:

  • Flu.gov
    The federal government site provides comprehensive, up-to-date information about seasonal and H1N1 flu. This site, managed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, can help you identify and deal with symptoms, learn about vaccines (who is eligible, where to get them), and keep flu from spreading.
  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
    The CDC site provides information about seasonal and H1N1 flu, including information about vaccines and information for specific groups (educators, parents and caregivers, people at high risk.
  • TRICARE Flu Resource site
    Go to for detailed information about TRICARE coverage for flu vaccinations and for prevention and treatment information.
  • American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) 
    The AAP site provides helpful information for parents about flu.
