Marine Corps Security Force Regiment Evening Parade:

Location: Norfolk, VA...The 2D Marine Division Band will be participating in the Marine Corps Security Force Regiment Evening Parade on their parade deck aboard the Naval Station, Norfolk, Virginia on 10 September 2010. The Evening Parade will start at 6 p.m. and will last approximately one hour. This is an event that is open to the public with 200 people expected to attend.:

Location: Virginia Beach, VA...This is a Navy League-sponsored event consisting of a career fair for transitioning military and their spouses. The event will also consist of a "New Breed of Warrior" expo designed to foster and maintain interest in a strong military, educate Hampton Roads residents about the role and traditions of the military, and provide a recruitment venue for both new and transitioning military members. :

WWII veterans visiting WWII Memorial :

Location: Washington DC, DC...Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee WWII veterans will be visiting the WWII Memorial.  We will meet at the Tennessee pillar for taps.  We give the men and women an opportunity to say the names of their friends and family who gave their lives and didn't return from the war.  This is a very moving experience for them.:

Location: New Orleans, LA...The Marine Forces Reserve Symphonic Wind Ensemble will be presenting a concert at the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, LA on Sunday, September 12th at 18:00. Featuring members of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band, the program will include a unique blend of traditional and contemporary music suitable for all ages and musical tastes. This performance will be free and open to the public. The doors open at 5:00 p.m. :

National Championship Air Races 2010:

Location: Poway, CA...The Poway Community Association (PCA) has begun planning the 2010 Poway Days Heritage Parade and Picnic for Saturday, September 18. PCA President Sabrina Butler, is pleased to announce this year’s theme – “An Old-Fashioned Parade and Picnic.” Community volunteers, Susan Davis and Heather Dugdale, will serve as the event co-chairs. Butler stated, “Both Susan and Heather served on last year’s parade organizing committee and were integral to its success.:

Marine Corps Base Hawaii Presents Kaneohe Bay Air Show 2010:

Location: Kaneohe Bay, HI...MCB Hawaii is supporting the Kaneohe Bay 2010 Air Show. 2010 is the Centennial of powered flight on Hawaii. 2011 and 2012 will be the centennial of Naval and Marine Corps aviation respectively. The Kaneohe Bay Air Show is the largest single event in the Hawaiian Islands and will feature The Navy Blue Angels, the Air Force F-22 Demonstration team, many of the best aerobatic pilots, and military and civilian static display aircraft. There will also be music by Bayfest and a fireworks display. :

Rotorfest 2010 - All Helicopter Airshow:

Location: West Chester, PA...This is an annual Airshow that features only rotary aircraft on display as part of the anniversary of the opening of the American Helicopter Museum & Education Center. The event also promotes careers in aviation and military related fields. This event will be supported with an Osprey static display provided by Marine Tiltrotor Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron Twenty-two (VMX-22) from Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina.:
