As we approach the holiday season, many of us envision festive dinners where the food is plentiful, delicious, and non-bloating; family get-together’s lacking in boredom or arguments; and mountains of much appreciated gifts with no corresponding credit card bills. The trouble is, when the holidays arrive, we try too hard to make reality fit this picture. We agonize over gift lists and rush from store to store in search of the perfect items. We eat too much and drink too much, but find ourselves still hungry for that indescribable “holiday spirit.”
And when the holidays don’t meet our expectations, we find ourselves feeling anxious, depressed, and even angry. But there are things you can do to keep from overindulging and feeling guilty or angry during the holidays.
Join us as we discuss tips and strategies for maintaining a sense of balance during the holiday season, and the resources available to you through the Military OneSource iCan Coaching Programs. |
